Childrens Classes
Our Children's classes are broken up into 2 different categories, Dragons & Juniors. These classes are age and ability appropriate. Classes are structured to meet the needs of all ages, while allowing individual growth.
Dragons classes are for children between the ages of 4 to 6. These classes focus on listening skills, learning to share, self control, and building fundamental motor skills. These are the primary focal points amongst the 4 year olds.
Additionally, Dragons at the higher end focus more on responsibility, respect for otheres, and increasing awareness of body in space. The 5/6 kids receive more responsibility and leadership skills.
Juniors classes are for children between the ages of 7 to 11. These lessons focus on retaining information, self disipline, listening, coordination and respect.
All of our children's classes are taught in a relaxed and fun environment. Feel free to watch any class and see for yourself.
Our Introductory Fundamentals Lesson is a private lesson for your child to get the skills needed for them to enter a martial arts group class. This will also allow us to determine which class will best suit your child's needs. Introductory classes are set up by appointment only, please call to schedule your appointment.
Teens
Teen classes her at IMA are developed to bring out the best in your teenager. These classes are for ages 12 to 16. An environment where they learn to have respect for themselves and others. How not to give into peer pressure. Increased self esteem and cofindence. Self defense. A sense of pride in the things that they accomplish. The ability to retain information. Increased physical fitness to help in other sports or just to get and stay in shape, and many, many more benefits.
Adults
Training in martial arts is different than any conventional exercise or sports program because it focuses on health, both physical and mental, regardless of your current age or condition. Relieve stress, increase stamina, flexability, focus, physical fitness, great for your heart and lungs. These are just a few of the benefits of training in the martial arts. Private Lessons
Private lessons are available here at IMA. Private lessons are set up by appointment. All appointments are on a first come first serve basis with limited time slots available. Please speak with an instructor for times and fees.
FAQ's
What style of martial arts do you teach? The base style of our system is Chuan Fa Tang Shou, also known as Kenpo Karate.
How many martial arts classes may I take per week? You may attend as many classes per week as the schedule will allow. However, it is recommended that you or your child participate in at least two per week to gain the full benefits of martial arts training.
